A 17-year-old who allegedly raped a 14-year-old girl in Brooklyn almost got away with the crime — then he bragged about it on Facebook, the Daily News has learned.
The young man allegedly forced the younger girl to have sex with him — and then shared the twisted exploit with his friends on social media, police sources said.
His shattered victim initially didn’t tell anyone what had happened to her April 23 inside the Marcy Houses on Park Ave. in Bedford-Stuyvesant.
But once she saw that her attacker posted something about it, she alerted police.
The older teen, whose first name is Michael, threw her onto a bed, pulled off her pants and forced her to have sex with him as the two hung out together that Saturday afternoon, she said when she reported the attack earlier this week.
Cops were trying to locate her attacker and question him on Thursday.
Details of his Facebook post were not disclosed.
Rape reports in the city have spiked by nearly 7% this year, police said.
As of Sunday night, detectives have investigated 847 rapes — 52 more than the 795 reported during the same time period last year.
A NYPD spokesman said the spike is being driven by a jump in domestic and acquaintance rape reports like the attack reported by the teenager.
