A Kansas City man is making headlines for the disturbing series of events that and not only unbelievable…it’s sickening. This man is disturbed, and needs to be removed from society, because his actions led to his daughter’s death. According to KansasCity.com, Jerry K. Bausby, 40 allegedly raped and murdered his 18-year-old daughter, Daizsa Bausby.

Back in March, the Southwest High School student was reported missing by her mother. She was last seen alive on around 8:30 p.m. on the evening of March 20. Her body was found by cleaning staff inside of a 4 Acre Motel room. A medical examination determined that Daizsa died of suffocation. It was also discovered that she’d been raped.

Although he admitted he rented the motel room, he claimed he’d done so for his daughter and her friends. However, surveillance footage caught him on camera leaving the room. He was reportedly the last person to walk out before the cleaning staff found Daizsa’s body.

Investigators speculated Jerry Bausby was involved with his daughter’s murder, but it’s taken months to gather enough evidence for an arrest. It has been reported that investigators waited months for the DNA results. Although investigators may never know the detailed series of events that took place inside the motel room on that fateful night, the DNA results were enough to prove Bausby did rape his own daughter, according to Fox4KC.

On Wednesday, Sept. 21, Jerry Bausby was arrested and is now facing charges in connection to his daughter’s death. He has been charged with first-degree sodomy, first-degree incest, and sexual abuse. Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker has filed for the highest felony charges possible. Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker has filed for the highest felony charges possible. Since Daizsa’s murder is tied to incest, Baker explained that the felony charges are justifiable. “Incest in this case is an appropriate charge,” Peters Baker said. “It accompanies the murder charge, and it accompanies some of the other sexual assault charges we leveled against her father. They are appropriate in this case. We felt it was important to tell the whole story.”
